What is Podcasting?

Podcasting is a method of distributing audio over the Internet for playback on personal computers and mobile devices. Podcasting can allow you to listen to sermons from Portage Avenue Baptist Church whenever and wherever you choose. You can choose to subscribe to PABC's sermon podcasts with iTunes or you can download individual sermons. If you subscribe, your computer will automatically check for new sermons. You do not need an iPod or mobile audio player to listen to our podcasts, but if you have one of theses devices, you can listen whenever and wherever you want!

What do I need?

All you need is an Internet-connected computer and free "podcatcher" software. Apple's iTunes program is the most popular podcatching software program. It is free and works on Windows PCs and Macintosh computers. You can download iTunes at apple.com/itunes/.

OK, I downloaded and installed iTunes; now what?

Here are two ways to subscribe to PABC's sermons through iTunes:

OPTION 1: Click on the following button: iTunes This will run your iTunes program and bring up the Portage Avenue Baptist Church - Portage, Indiana sermon podcast page. Click SUBSCRIBE and confirm that you want to add the PABC Sermons channel to your iTunes Podcast library.

OPTION 2: Manually subscribe to our podcast web feed by following these steps: RSS feed
1. Highlight and copy the following URL into your computer's clipboard. (Press Control-C or Command-C to copy it.)
2. Start iTunes on your computer.
3. Click on the "Advanced" menu at the top of the screen. Then select, "Subscribe to Podcast."
4. Paste the URL for our podcast channel into the box and click OK
